IMPORTANT POINTS FOR ACTIVATING RELIANCE JIO SIM AND TO GET UNLIMITED DATAD AND CALLS FOLLOW THIS POST CAREFULLY:

This Post is only for those who managed to get Jio Sim for Non-Jio Phones. Here's the process to activate it correctly.

1. Sim will only work on the device from which you generated the barcode. So don't buy bar codes or generate fake barcodes by changing IMEI. It won't work. Use your own device and wait for my next post to Generate Barcode on your own device and then try your luck on Reliance Stores. It's legal as you got the barcode from your device only.

2. Install All Jio Apps beforehand using wifi or mobile data. Specially JioJoin App.

3. After you grab sim, wait for sms: Your phone is ready for televerification. It will come by at best 48 hours. For me it took 2hrs only. Put sim in slot 1. Turn internet on in slot 1.

3. Open JioJoin App. Accept permissions. It will automatically verify your sim. (Make sure jio mobile data is on)

4. Now call 1977 using JioJoin App with mobile data on. This is VoLTE Calling. Calling with internet data. Your default dialer won't work.

5. Televerify your sim. You will get internet settings via sms and some subscription plan sms within 5 minutes.

6. All done. Test your internet by downloading and calling. (Yes, all calls you do will be VoLTE Calls, and it needs internet). You don't need internet to receive calls however.

7. Now open MyJio App. Click Skip. It will Log you via Mobile No. Now you can see you got 2GB Data and 100 Minute Call.

To get Unlimited follow this:

Quickly sign up for account on my jio. 

Now clear data of all jio apps including myjio. 

Keeping net off, enter myjio app, it will show get sim option. 

Turn on internet, click sign in.

Now it will automatically show you popup to accept the offer. Click submit. You will get it.

8. Sim will NOT WORK on non 4g devices. You must need 4g device which may or may not support Volte. If it supports, then better, you will get better calling experience. Even if it doesn't support volte, don't worry, JioJoin will work normally.

That's all. If you still couldn't manage a sim, sorry! :(

PS: Reliance Store Manager said that this preview offer will also come for other devices once it launches. Don't know it will be true or not, but if it becomes true, then awesome :)

PPS: Tested Call and Internet: Calling is crystal clear on my device. I could download around 10MB in one second. 21MB App got downloaded in 2 seconds. :)

UPDATE: POINT 1: If your barcode is generated from other device or if you already bought barcodes from others or generated by faking imei, then only way to activate it is using a VOLTE ENABLED PHONE. If you don't know about VOLTE, perhaps your phone doesn't support it. Only VOLTE Enabled phones can activate other device generated barcodes.
